Kids & teens · Sunsplash Park · year-round
We teach kids and teens to surf year-round in Daytona Beach, with 1-, 3-, and 5-day lesson packages built on request from $80 — no fixed camp dates, so your family's schedule sets the week.
Every package runs at lifeguarded Sunsplash Park with a maximum of 5 kids per instructor, all gear provided, and pro surfer Ryan Ragan leading the lessons.
Call (386) 308-9951 and we'll build the right package for your kids.

01 — Straight answers, numbers first
Never more than 5 kids per instructor — groups of up to 10 always get two instructors.
Group lessons start at age 7. Kids aged 5-6 take a private lesson with a parent present.
Kids must be able to swim. There is no lifejacket option — it's a safety rule, not a suggestion.
Board, leash, and rash guard — wetsuits in winter. Your kid just brings sunscreen, water, and a towel.
If lightning or unsafe conditions come up, the lesson is cancelled on the spot and rescheduled with you directly. Rescheduled, not refunded.
Meet by the picnic tables, showers, and beach stairs at the park's south end. Free parking.
No fixed camp dates — we build 1-, 3-, or 5-day packages around your week, any time of year.
Volusia County Lifeguard Headquarters anchors the park's north end, and pro surfer Ryan Ragan leads the lessons.
02 — The five-day arc
Every package climbs the same ladder — one skill at a time, stamped when it’s earned. Kids on the 5-day package work through the whole chart.

03 — Booked on request, year-round
Each day is about 2.5 hours: a beach-safety tutorial first, then plenty of time in the water. Skills build day over day — by the last day most kids are catching waves on their own.

04 — From the logbook
“Ryan was absolutely phenomenal!!! My kids (10 & 12) had no previous experience surfing and Ryan took the time to make them feel comfortable and confident. Both of them were surfing within an hour and then he worked with them to really dial in their form for the next 30 mins. They both had a blast and I was super impressed with Ryan’s professionalism and teaching style which kept both of my kids engaged. They really learned so much in a short time. Thanks again Ryan & hope to see you again next time we are in Daytona!”
